Establish Your Website's Reputation Through Strategic Article Marketing

Owning, running, and maintaining an Internet based business or a website need articles. Plain and simple, everyone who has a site knows this. Even those who don’t have sites but are frequent Internet users know this as well. Articles quench people's thirst for information. And articles of all possible topics are being searched every minute; your website will benefit if you have plenty of useful write ups – the so called article marketing.

The benefits that articles provide are putting websites at high search engine results rankings for keywords and keyword phrases relevant to the website's niche. After all, your readers are after with the information you impart to them. You will know when you become an authority in your niche because other website and newsletter publishers will link your website to theirs. And these links will boost your readers' or costumers' confidence to your own website.

An effective article marketing strategy is one that increases your websites traffic. That is to say you have to have good contents that your readers will find useful and credible. When this happens, your readers will help you market your website for you; they would recommend your website to everyone else. In return, you get bigger sales. Your product or services would be much easier to sell when they trust you know what you are doing or talking about.

So ok, we have established the importance of articles to a website. But, there is one dilemma though. Not many people like writing articles – let alone have the talent to write.

Many website owners would rather spend their time on something else, and unless you’re a big time company, you don’t have the necessary resources to use on a pool of article writers. Mind you, plagiarism or copying of other articles is frowned upon by search engines. You could even face a hefty fine or jail time if you're caught red handed.

So what are the other options?

Well, for starters if you hate writing articles and you can’t afford to hire people to write for you then don’t. Get free articles. The first place to look at for free articles is the public domain.  Here you won’t have problems with copyright infringement and the following penalties if you get caught for plagiarism. Your article marketing strategy could get off the ground.

Public domain articles are articles freely given to anyone who can find good use of it. You can do whatever you want with it. You can publish it on your website as yours, put it in a newsletter; it's your decision. Always remember though that you will have to choose articles that are relevant to your website's niche.

The downside to public domain articles is that since it is free for everybody, many of your competitors may have access to them as well. Since every site needs to be original and unique even though you have the same niche, this could be a predicament. You may also have to edit them a bit to place more keywords and keyword phrases to make them better.

Another way to get free articles is to allow other websites, which has the same subject or topic as yours, to submit articles to your site. But use this opportunity sparingly. Use this only to augment your site a bit, but don't leave your contents at the mercy of article submitters. Submitted articles have embedded anchor text in them that directs you visitors to the websites of the articles owners. It's still important to have your own articles. You could use them to link to your other websites or to your favorite authority websites.

But to truly feel the power of article marketing, go for original articles. There are many article writers who accept part time and freelance article writing jobs and charges only minimal fees. You can get good original articles that have all the keywords and keyword phrases you need that you know people are looking for.

The investment you made for these articles is worth every penny because you could use them for all the benefits you could offer. You hold copyrights to them and you will be able to use them anyway you want. Now you don’t have to worry about your growing need for articles.

What is there left to do? Start building your empire through article marketing strategy.
